The ALAW plug offsets were originally drawn on paper, the co-ordinates were stored in Excel, before finally rendered and smoothed in Rhino then printed. The curves were then transferred onto sheet MDF with the wood strip thickness subtracted. The sections were mounted on the table and strips pinned and/or glued into place. The wood strip finish was sanded, filled and glassed. The final shape was filled and smoothed and sprayed with coats of Durabuild then smoothed and polished. Teflon based release agent was applied ready for moulding.
