The Trip

Departure; Sunday 2nd April 2006 09.30hrs from the area of Hunstanton Sailing Club. All well-wishers welcome to see me off, Pudsey Breakfast available £2.00/head (all profits to Children in Need).

Paddling in a clockwise direction hope to reach Holyhead, Anglesey by the 22nd May. Break to attend Jersey Sea Symposium (www.seapaddler.co.uk) for paddling and fundraising.

First week in June the Irish sea crossing, Holyhead – Isle of Man – mainland Ireland. Paddle south, and clockwise around the Irish coast to Rathlin Island and then cross to the Mull of Kintyre around the 10th July. Hope to make the North-East of Scotland by the 7th August, before a high speed blast south to arrive back in Hunstanton around the 6th of September (Mum’s Birthday).

I have several sea kayaking friends, and I hope that some of them will be joining me for sections of the trip. The trip length will probably be in excess of 2800 miles. If the weather is bad times will be extended it is a case of ‘I have started so I shall finish – eventually’.
